Theracoustic (Sound) Therapy

An altered state of consciousness is a natural process necessary for good health and wellbeing. There are times during the day when we all slip quite naturally into these, which are usually experienced by feeling drifty and daydreamy. This temporary “pause mode” allows our brain to concentrate on other important factors such as balancing hormones and regulating the autonomic nervous system etc.

Altered states of consciousness, as well as being natural, can also be induced. Strong Hope’s theracoustic therapy programme delivers the key benefits of mindfulness, meditation and deep relaxation techniques via sound therapy sessions. The wellness system that delivers this also provides intense physical and muscular relaxation and is the ultimate way to experience the audio and vibrational theracoustic programmes.

The wellness system utilises proprietary technology that releases specific sound frequencies projected throughout the body, while synchronous sound and music, sometimes combined with spoken word, lowers brainwaves to deeply meditative states.  This combination of mind-body stimulation is a powerful and effective tool for changing neural pathways and creating healthy behaviours.

There is increasing research to demonstrate that music and sounds have a profound effect on our mind and body. The vibroacoustic therapy developed by the wellness systems founder Rod Slane, which he calls “Quantum Harmonics”, has been clinically proven to have positive effects on mood states and behavioural change in people recovering from addictions, sleep disorders, anxiety issues, and anyone interested reducing stress and increasing calm in their lives.

In a study by the US Military’s Institute of Surgical Research among deployed military members in a combat zone, the quantum harmonics technology used in the wellness system showed an improvement in mood states of 97% of military personnel, along with a significant improvement in sleep, stress reduction and mental resiliency.  Studies have also shown a marked improvement in the reduction of cravings and overall emotional wellness in individuals seeking help for addiction disorders.
